12-11 Allegria Hotel Hosts "Wrap Party" for the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors Holiday for Heroes Drive - City-wide Collection of Gifts Brings the Holidays to Our Troops - Long Beach, NY -- December 12, 2011 --The Long Beach Waterfront Warriors with the help of the Allegria Hotel, Long Beach Catholic Regional School and the VFW Lt. John F. O'Grady Post 1384, held a "wrap party" at the hotel this past Sunday, December 11, loading up care packages to be shipped to soldiers for the holidays. More on this story...

6-11 ALL CREATURES VETERINARY SERVICES PRESENTS CHECK TO LONG BEACH WATERFRONT WARRIORS - FUNDS RAISED THROUGH DOG WALKATHON
June 20, 2011 - On June 14, the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors received a check for $2,000 from Dr. Lewis Gelfand of All Creatures Veterinary Services and his office manager Michelle Knox, from funds raised during their first annual All Creatures Dog Walkathon held at Nickerson Beach in May.

6-11 Lolas Fundraiser - Hundreds of people from the local Long Beach community came out to support the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors first 2010 fundraiser at Lola's on May 3rd. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the second annual visit to our City by wounded, ill and injured soldiers and their families. Last year the LBWW's organization helped give sixteen families a few days of rest and relaxation here in Long Beach, and this year they plan to host almost thirty families from July 25 through 29, 2010. 5-11 Latitude Event A Huge Success. New York City - On Wednesday, April 13th, Kevin and Tracy McAdams hosted a fundraiser for the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors at Latitudes on 8th Avenue in New York City. Several hundred people filled two rooms on the second floor, with one room dedicated entirely to the sale of Waterfront Warrior merchandise and donated packages. Money from the event will go a long way toward helping wounded, injured and ill veterans and their families enjoy a week-long vacation in our beautiful city. 4-11 The Hub Fundraiser - 2011 Island Park - On Saturday, April 2 The Long Beach Waterfront Warriors held their first fundraiser at The Hub Billiard Club in Island Park. The event was a great success, as owner Brad Turner enthusiastically welcomed the Warriors to the family-friendly, renovated club, now in its second year under his ownership. More on this story.

2-11 Long Beach Catholic Regional School Raises $7000+ for The Warriors ( Excerpts of article reprinted from the City of Long Beach Web site. Written by Mary Melia Giambalvo, Public Information Officer) - February 15, 2010 - On February 10, the students of Long Beach Catholic Regional School presented a check in the amount of $7,090 to the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors. The students raised the funds by holding a jump-a-thon competition on Sports Day, February 3, as part of Catholic School Week activities. More on this story.

12-10 HOLIDAY FOR HEROES A HUGE SUCCESS! - The Long Beach Waterfront Warriors' "Wrap Party" at the Allegria Hotel on Dec. 5 filled so many care packages for American servicemen and women, that another party had to be planned because we ran out of boxes. Several hundred families and Veterans from Walter Reed Hospital were serenaded with carols by choirs from the People's and the Island Beach Girl Scouts Troop 2352. More on this story.

7-10 Long Beach Waterfront Warriors July, 2010 Visit - The Arrival. On a sweltering July 24 a crowd of Long Beach residents and volunteers waited at VFW Post 1384, 675 West Park Avenue. The air conditioned hall had tables laden with catered platters; above them hung a large banner welcoming the 2010 Waterfront Warriors to our city. More on this story.
